THE SYMPHONY OF WOOD
Petrozavodsk + Kizhi + Kivatch + Church of Assumption + Kinerma

Day 1:
- Arrival in Petrozavodsk. Transfer from the railway station to a city cafe. Breakfast.
- City tour "The City of Peter the Great". You will get acquainted with the history of the capital of Karelia and see its places of interest. Photo stop near the monument to Peter the Great.
- Transfer to Kizhi Island by hydrofoil (1 hour 15 minutes). Lunch boxes.
- Excursion in the Kizhi Open-Air Museum of Wooden Architecture. You will get acquainted with the UNESCO World Heritage Site and learn some secrets of local carpenters.
- Arrival in Petrozavodsk. Transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.
- Free time. Dinner.
Day 2:
- Breakfast. Transfer to the ancient Karelian village Kinerma (200 km).
- Excursion around the village. Visit of the ancient wooden chapel of Virgin Mary (XVII).
- Lunch in a Karelian house (national Karelian cuisine).
- Transfer to the church of Assumption (1774). You will see the church that is usually called the swan song of the Russian wooden architecture.
- Visit of the Kivatch Nature Reserve. You will visit the museum of nature, get acquainted with the wildlife of Karelian taiga and walk along the alley of wellknown Karelian birches. You will also see the second largest plain waterfall in Europe and listen to the melody of its roaring waters.
- Arrival in Petrozavodsk. Dinner at a local café.
- Transfer to the railway station.
