The Petrodvorets Palace & Park - Peterhof

Also called Peterhof, this is a former country estate of the Czars, founded by Peter the Great. The Grand Palace presents a beautiful picture from the sea. The Mon Plaisir Palace is a small Dutch-looking structure facing the sea with a beautiful garden on the other side – the place where the wild parties of Peter the Great took place. The parks are formal, with hundreds of fountains heard and seen everywhere. The Grand Cascade has numerous fountains on steps and balconies, connecting the Grand Palace to the Marine canal going to the sea.
