This is Kitsch the real Russian way. Green marble, polished gilded bronzes garlands of flowers, hand painted murals on the ceilings, luxury sofas, the gallery adored with busts of native figures. Although very luxurious, but luxurious in a tipical Russian manner, with a sense of humor and self-mockery. Within all this opulence and luxury are feels completely free and relaxed.
No stiffness and no etiquette.
The menu in the Russian Kitsch is full of non compatible dishes, for example common herring slightly pickled in pistachio and served with real gold leafs or common sausages made from foie gras.
